Conselho Indigena de Roraima (CIR) or Indigenous Council of Roraima –The work of the CIR is directed primarily to the demarcation of indigenous lands in Roraima and its approval (32 total). Special attention is given to the following areas: education, health and self-sustainability.

CIR is one of the most respected indigenous organizations in Brazil and is a founding member of COIAB (Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon). The Council maintains strong links and partnerships with governments and non governmental organizations from all over the world. The main results of the organization were the liberation of indigenous farmers from oppression, the affirmation of cultural identities of different peoples and territories.

One of the partnerships consolidated by the organization in recent years is with the Federal Government, through an agreement with FUNASA (National Health Foundation) for primary health care in 235 villages in the Eastern Health District of Roraima.
